Tablet Press

Tablet press machines are used in the pharmaceutical industry to manufacture tablets. These machines can compress powdered or granulated drug formulations into solid tablets of uniform size, shape, and weight.

Tablet press machines consist of several components, including a hopper for holding the drug formulation, a feed frame for delivering the formulation to the compression area, and a compression area where the tablets are formed. The compression area of the tablet press machine is the most important component, as this is where the tablets are formed. It can consist of one or several punches, generally, the punching quantity is not fixed. For small-scale use, we may recommend a single-punch tablet press. For industrial productions, for example, a standard rotary tablet press could have 7, 15, 20, 31 and more punching options, based on customers’ requirements. The punches can be customized to create tablets of different shapes and sizes, depending on the needs of the pharmaceutical manufacturer.

Tablet press machines are highly automated and are designed to meet the highest standards of safety and quality, with features such as automatic feed systems, tablet ejection systems, and dust extraction systems to ensure that the tablets are free of contaminants.
